We have serviced multi generational consumers throughout our time as a manufacturer and retailer of fine furs and fur accessories. We are renowned for our custom capability and service support systems for our clients. We have a range of design, sales and repair experts on staff.
Founded by Tanya Ntuka and Emmauel Tzouganos, Bergen American Furs has continued to produce the highest quality furs for clients for decades. Starting at the young age of 12, Tanya Ntuka learned fur design and manufacturing under the tutelage of her loving father in Kastoria, Greece. She flourished as a designer/manufacturer as time went on. She was a chief constructionist of custom fur designs for FENDI in the 90’s, just as FENDI was evolving into the fashion behemoth it is today. She has worked with public personalities such as Jennifer Lopez, Mary J Blige, Babara Walters, Sarah Jessica Parker, Rita Wilson and many more. Tanya and Manny purchased Bergen Furs in Montclair, NJ in 2006. They rebranded the operation to reflect a contemporary manufacturing and sales operation. Bergen American Furs was born.
Now, under new ownership, Bergen American Furs has evolved into BERGEN AMERICAN FURS AND FASHION. Our dedication to premiere service and outstanding customization continues. Tanya Ntuka remains on staff as chief consultant/designer for all things fur.
Roy Mathew is the owner/president of BERGEN AMERICAN FURS AND FASHION.
Roy was born in West Orange, NJ and moved to Dutchess County, NY at a young age. He has since married and raised a family there.
He has worked 20 plus years in finance.The majority of this time was spent on the trading floor at UBS Investment Bank in various global management positions leading teams across Europe, Asia and North America. Roy has always been able to identify worthy investment opportunities. Roy has pursued investment ventures including real estate, fashion, restaurants and high tech soccer training facilities. BERGEN AMERICAN FURS AND FASHION represents a crown jewel in his acquisition portfolio.
Tim Grant is the General Manager for BERGEN AMERICAN FURS AND FASHION. Tim manages the day to day operations for this stellar boutique. Tim has extensive knowledge and experience in the apparel industry. He believes that focus to detail and premiere service provided for the client base is absolutely key to succeeding in any business enterprise.
